The Pacific Northwest Crab Research Group welcomes collaborators interested in working with our data sets and invites them to submit their interest, and plan for use, via the request form linked below. A formal request will initiate a review process by the appropriate technical committee, and if approved, data originators will be consulted for permission to share - a process that can take several weeks.​

This process is intended to ensure the protection of data sovereignty, including the recognition of the right by Indigenous nations to ‘govern the collection, ownership, application and protection of their own data’ (Native Nations Institute). With an understanding of the local history of misuse of tribal data by researchers, PCRG prioritizes the preservation of trust with all of its partners and collaborators.
